Welcome

I am a movement artist and enthusiast of human expression. My mission is to help others feel at home in their bodies by guiding them to sense, listen, move, understand, and connect with their inner and outer worlds. I believe that in order to thrive, human beings need deep connection with self, other, and environment. My extensive background in modern dance, contemporary, and classical ballet and pointe work has shaped the way I move as an artist, as well as the way I teach and direct my students and clients. I have studied techniques such as Horton, Graham, Dunham, Laban Movement Analysis and Bartenieff Fundamentals, and Release Technique. Other studies include Pedagogy, Music and Composition for dance, Pilates for dancers, Biomechanics of human movement, and Dance Science.

I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with over 20 years of dance and teaching experience, education, and training. I hold a degree in Dance Science from California State University, Long Beach and a background in Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies and neurodevelopmental movement. I am currently working towards ISMETA’s RSMT registration, studying under The Movement Arc’s Expressive Movement Facilitation program, directed by Hana Kamea Kemble and Amanda Penaloza-Banks, as well as Dr. Martha Eddy’s BodyMind Dancing™ program.

I am passionate about the ways in which we can use movement to navigate the different stages and challenges of life, and most importantly how movement can aid in our health and wellbeing — spiritually, mentally, and physically.

Expressive Movement

Drop out of the mind and into the body, re-membering your most instinctive and primal self.

Bringing awareness to the body and its sensations, we use movement and expression to cultivate a deeper sense of connection and trust within self and environment.

My intention is that you will get to know and understand your body in ways that will facilitate a deep-rooted sense of being and belonging. Our bodies are innately smart; they know what they need, we have just forgotten how to listen.

Whether on set, behind a camera lens, performing live in front of an audience, or directing a scene, my role is to help you and your team understand and execute specific movements while feeling comfortable and confident in embodying whatever vision or character you are tasked to bring to life.
